Why they are at your foundation first

Where pipes and wires come through

Every place a utility passes through your wall is a manufactured hole, and they are rarely sealed well. Think of the gap around the kitchen and bathroom plumbing, the hose bibs, the AC line set, the gas line, cable and electrical penetrations, and the dryer vent.
